KIS-4 Tray Vacuum Gas / Skin Packaging Machine
KIS-4 Machine is vertical type vacuum and gas-flush pneumatic tray sealing system, vacuums the tray completely before it inserts gas. The machine is built in stainless steel for use in hygienic environments. The system is tooled up to your specific tray size and neatly trims the film around the perimeter of the tray, the wasted film is then taken up onto the motorized film feeding system. This machine requires a compressed air connection.
The food trays are manually placed in the tray carrier drawer. As a safety precaution, the operation is initiated by the two handed release system.
The tray carrier moves automatically into the machine and the machine head comes down and seals around the tray carrier.
The large capacity vacuum pump efficiently evacuates the chamber and the gas-flush is carried out.
The sealing head then moves down, completing the perimeter seal around the tray as well as a neat perimeter cut.
The tray carrier drawer then automatically moves back out to the operator and the trays may be removed.
While removal and reloading of the trays takes place, the film is automatically fed to the new position. The new position is determined by either time, blank film counting (to calculate the film length of tray for saving the film cost) or by photocell sensor mark (for printed film).
VSP is ideal of packaging meat, poultry, smoked foods, fish, shrimp, shellfish and ready meals (frozen or refrigerated). By using the skin packaging system, your food products will remain fresh longer.
Skin packaging applies vacuum technologies to thermo-sealing machines. It consists in the upper film enclosing both the product and its tray, fitting around it like a second skin. Vacuum packaging further extends product shelf-life. The easy-peel packaging materials result in increased ease of opening for the end user. Skin packaging is ideal for attractive product presentation, complete sealing, minimized product damage, high safety standards and enhanced hygiene and preservation.
By extending their shelf-life, skin packaging results in the increased commercial life of foodstuffs. Visibility is also improved, allowing products to be displayed vertically, thus reducing food waste and returns by enhancing shelf replenishment and stock rotation processes. When packaged in skin conditions, meat and meat products continue their maturation process for enhanced tenderness, adequate texture and optimum taste.
Once opened, the product is immediately exposed to oxygen and will only take a few minutes to regain its natural bright colour, without altering taste and freshness.
